What Causes Abdominal Pain And Constipation Despite Giving Enema And Decolic?
Hello sir my son is 7 yrs old and he is having pain abdomen for two days. He has also not passes stool for past two days. He usually has constipation problem. Thinking it to be stool imoaction I have given proctoclysis enema but it dint relieve it. He was having so severe pain that I had to give him decolic syrup today too. His abdomen is soft and nontender. He is sleeping after taking decolic. He was also having nausea occasionally. What can be done in this situation

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of abdominal pain and constipation despite taking `Enema and Decolic . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food poisoning, inadequate fibres in diet, motility disorder, lactose intolerance, intestinal Ileus or due to electrolyte imbalance in body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history. Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. You should avoid intake of juices as it will exaggerate your symptoms. For now eat light and non spicy. Avoid spicy and sharp food and keep your head elevated while lying down. Drink plenty of fluids and take diet rich in multivitamins.

I really appreciate your concern, in pediatric age group if the child does not pass the stool for the days then it is does not matters at all and it may no be the constipations, encourage the child for drinking water, and it is nothing to worry, no need to have any medicines hope this is information helps.
