Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My period went off a week ago. My lower right back started hurting. Measuring from 1-10 the pain was about an 8. This pain has continued for 2 days after the pain stops I start to bleed. I bleed for an hour or so. I have been taking over the counter Ibuprofien which has helped with the pain.
Hi! Good moring. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Some girls do get pre menstrual pain before their cycles, which might be severe at times as in your case. However, if it persists, I would advise you to get yourself checked up by your gynaecologist, who depending on the physical findings of a clinical examination might advise you for a pelvic ultrasound to rule out any pathological condition. Till that you may continue to take Ibuproffen for a symptomatic relief.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
