What Causes Abdominal Pain After Appendix Removal?

Son had appendix removed three months ago & recovered quickly after sugery.
However in the last monthi he keeps getting pains in his belly and also has two bouts of really bad stomach pains with vomiting . He hasn't been brining up any food but dry wretching & bile , he also says the pain is similar to when he had appendisitis.
Last time he had the vomiting phoned gpthey said was probably a virus/bug . But having experienced bothmy children with tummy bugs in past , this seems completly different very similar to when he had the appendisitis. So my concern is whether it is something to do with that.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your son who has undergone appendectomy three months ago with good recovery. But since last one month he is getting recurrent pains in his belly, vomiting bile, pain being similar to appendicitis, wants to know the possible causes.
If the appendix was fully removed, the possible causes are:
Adhesion and intestinal obstruction as indicated by vomiting of bile.
Worm infestation.
Colitis or IBS.
I would advise you the following:
Insist for Contrast CT scan of the abdomen with Enteroclysis so that the possibility of intestinal obstruction can be confirmed or ruled out.
Tests of blood, urine and stool.
Once diagnosed get the treatment accordingly.
