What Causes Abdominal Obesity With History Of Thyroid Disorder?

I HAVE TYROID PROBLEMS I VE BEEN THE SAME WEIGHT FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, FOR SOME REASON ALL MY WEIGHT IS NOW GOING A ROUND MY BELLY. THE FAT ON MY LEGS ARE GONE, MY BUTT HAS NOW DISAPPEARED, MY DOCTOR SAYS I LOOK LIKE A TOMATO STANDING ON TOOTH PICKS. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!! COULD I HAVE A ADRENIAL GLAND PROBLEM? SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING.

This is typical and is called trunkal obesity which is common in thyroid problems due to hypothyroidism. Thyroid produces hormones which control metabolism in the body. When we have low levels hypothyroidism then the metabolism is very low and patient increase weight apart from other symptoms like constipation, hypotension, slowness of all the activities, infertility.
The investigations
- Thyroid profile levels -
- Catacholamines and adrenal levels - cortisol levels
