What Causes Abdominal Distension Post Incisional Hernia Repair?

Hi 13 days ago I had a repair of a recurrent incisional hernia using mesh The scar is healing well I do not have much pain but my abdomen is swollen as though it has a football inside it bowel function normal and I do not have a temperature is this normal if it is how many weeks will it take for the swelling to go down I am female Thank you

Thank for choosing HCM, I had gone through the history given, it may not be the abdomen swelling but it seems to be distension or the protuberance belly because of obesity, since you do not have any symptoms then it is nothing to worry because it is not the swelling but could be the distension and it could be due to flatulence, ideally condition needs clinical observation for better confirmation, hope this information helps.
