What causes abdominal cramps and vaginal bleeding?

Hello, I will be 63 years old next month. I am a female. I started bleeding and cramping just now as though I am having a period. I went through menopause at 45 and have never bled since then. Why is this happening? I have been on bio therapy, but lately, not consistently. Could this be a cause?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Post menopausal bleeding is serious and the bleeding could be due to some growth in uterus. You need to consult your gynecologist at the earliest for ultrasound pelvis and endometrial biopsy.

Thanks and take care
