What Causes Abdominal Cramps And Bloody Diarrhea?

I have had abdominal cramps and diarrhea since this morning (about 8 hours). I have emptied my bowels and took a nap. When I got up and went to the bathroom again, what came out was a bright red bloody liquid with no solids. I also do not have the cramping.
