What Causes Abdominal Bloating And Weight Gain After A Back Injury?

sudden stomach starting to bulge and gets bigger as day goes along and seems to reduce at night but not entirely. This has developed after back fracture and wearing brace for six months. What could be the Cause not weight has been gained. I am female age 73 and near had stomach before.
