What Causes A Tiny Spot On The Tongue?

I have a small tiny white spot on my tongue that is not painful, but hasn t gone away. I have picked it off but it always comes back. It has not grown larger or red or changed. It is similar to a inflamed taste bud, which I have had before but, always go away. This looks the same but I have had it a few months.

I really appreciate your concern and let me tell you that what ever you are seeing this could be a normal structure and no need to tempered this or disturb this, if this is asymptomatic and no need to worry about this, if this is increasing in size and cause pain, then this need to be concern, take care and have a nice day.
