What Causes A Stinging Pain In The Inside Of Foot?

I was standing in line today and I moved and a stinging pain hit the inside side of my right foot. At first I was convinced that there was something stuck in my flipflop or I had been stung by a bee. There is no mark and no swelling or external sign that anything happened. It s been a few hours and I can still feel it slightly, but noticeably more when I step on it. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. In severe cases steroid injection to the sole might be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
