What Causes A Small Painful Lump On The Shoulder?

I have a small but slowly growing lump on my shoulder blade. It can be sensitive at times but now is giving me a steady small pain and much more sensitive. It does have a little discoloration. Work has been extra stressful lately, not sure if that has any effect.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small painful lump on the shoulder . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like can be some bone tumour , if there is soft tissue lump then it can be due to reactive lymphnode, tuberculosis, lymphoma. metastatic carcinoma or soft tissue tumour. You should go for biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. I would suggest you to consult general surgeon for proper examina and treatment accordingly. For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
