My husband has a small lump on the top corner of his ear like something is inside it. It has come and gone again on 4 or 5 different occasions each time it appears it is sore once we squeeze white had grissly bit out it still hurts but not as bad any idea what it may be?
I can understand your concern. It seems that your husband has developed an abscess over the ear and as the infection is not resolved, it keep coming back.
I would recommend that he should start taking antibiotics for it. He should take Cefixime 200 mg (Topcef) twice a day for 5 days. For the pain, he can take OTC available Ibuprofen 400 mg up to three times in a day.
If the pain and infection are not resolved in 5 days, an ENT specialist should be consulted for the clinical examination and further investigations.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish your husband feels better soon.
