Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes A Small Blister Inside The Cheek With Constant Drainage?
I have a place on inside of my cheek. It started out as what I thought was a blister about 3 months ago, but it's getting larger. I can move it with my tongue. Its not against my teeth line, so I haven't not it. I have also had an ear infection on same side for months. Constant drainage and ringing from ear. I cannot hear and cheek is becoming more bothersome.
As per your complain it seems that you have a small hanging lump like structure on the cheek on the inside of the mouth and it is movable with the tongue. Well, it seems to be most probably a Fibroma that occurs due to overgrowth of the fibrous tissue present under the mucosa that can occur commonly due to continuous irritation in that particular area.
It is not due to ear infection. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation is generally sufficient for diagnosis. If fibroma is confirmed it can be easily removed by a minor surgical procedure which can be further sent for biopsy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Honey Arora
