What Causes A Slight Sag On The Left Side Of The Face?

Hi just some months ago. I noticed that my face seemed to slightly drooping on my left side. It is very slight, but one day as I was putting my makeup on while comparing my eyeliner on my eyes I noticed this. I have a slight swollen look to the cheek also. I asked my husband & daughter about it & they notice it too. Once in awhile I feel the top of the eyelid twitch, and sometimes a swollen tingling feeling. I have been extremely tired lately but thought it might be just because Im getting older. I also had my vitamin D checked & it was low so I am taking Vitamin D3 100IU.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is important to have a visit with your doctor and have a neurological examination. This will determine if there is any deficiency in sensation or muscular strength of the facial muscles.
This is important to rule out neurological conditions such as stroke, brain mass or MS.

I hope this is helpful.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
