What Causes A Red Rash Inside The Nostril?

Hi there- i have a rash type reddness inside one nostril. its been spreading for a bout a week, now it burns, its sensative, its not a pimple or cold sore. the skin on my nose is becoming thick & inflammed....i was thinking shingles? the skin thats effected is dry, red & peeling away. nothing i put on it seems to sooth it, & its giving me a headache also- or im just stressing over it. what do u think? yes i have had chicken pox as a child.

It might be local inflammation like boils.

As a first line management, you can apply topical antibiotics like Mupirocin for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.
