What Causes A Red Bump On The Vulva?

I have a red bump on my vulva (not near vaginal opening) that is painless. I recently shaved and usually get some razor burn but this seems unusual for me. I have been with the same partner for a year now and he is clean but before him I was with another man and after I found out he has had many sexual partners. Could this be genital herpes?
