What Causes A Rash On The Hip Post Hip Replacement Surgery?

My husband has had a rash since last Aug. when he had hip replacement. He has been to his MD, an Allergist, and his dermatologist. and oncologist. They checked for allergy to the hip metal, it was negative. Our PA daughter says is definitely an allergic reaction. He takes, Sinemet, Ropinorole,Metoprolol, Warfarin, Rampril, Fenobrate, Simvistatin, a muti vitamin and a stool softner. Dr s have not checked his meds.

It is due some allergy or fungal infection for which you can take antibiotics like cefadroxyl or zifi-cv after an expert opinion along with cetrizine or Avil itching or rashes. Apply clonet lotion or clo-trimazole cream locally over the affected area. You can take steroids if not improved with above treatment.
