What Causes A Raised White Bump On The Tongue?

About 2 days ago I was eating and I bit on the side of my tongue I ignored it until the next day when I noticed a small white bump with a red dot in the middle I figured it was just healing but a while has passed and it doesn't show any signs of going away any time soon. Any idea of what would be wrong?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As you have bit your tongue it looks like there is ulcer formation due to tear of mucosa due to biting..

Do not worry as it can take about 4-5 days to get better..

You can apply a numbing gel like Xylocaine over the ulcer and along with it antiseptic gel like Chlorohexidine can be applied to avoid infection..

You can do warm saline gargles and along with it avoid spicy and irritant foods.

Hope this helps..

Regards..
