What Causes A Person Suffering With Sinusitis To Faint?

I have recently fainted 3 times wirhin 1 hour. Called paramedics ambulance to hospital. They ruled out heart issues or stroke. Im back home. Felt a little dizzy today during biwel movement. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow. What should we be looking for. I also have very bad sinus issues- frequent nose bleeds-stuffed up nose etc.

Thank you for your query.

1)Were you giddy or dizzy before you fainted?
2) How did they rule out heart issues?were you hospitalized for atleast 24 hrs to monitor your heart rhythm ?
3) do you have any history of seizures?

Balance is regulated by your inner ear and signals sent by proprioceptors (position receptors) located in the body. The inner ear then adjusts chemically and structurally to maintain balance.
Advanced age, severe cold, ear infection, sinusitis could all disrupt this balance ad lead to giddiness and fainting spells.

More serious are heart related pathlogy which could compromise blood flow to your brain leading to a stroke if not caught early.
Certain medications could also disrupt the heart rhythm and inner ear balance.
Make sure to tell your doctor all medications that you might be on.
you mentioned frequent nose bleeds, were they significant or minimal bleed? Did they start after your cold?
Seizures can occur in clusters ( 3 in an hour and mimic as fainting spells).

Expect to be hospitalized for cardiac and neurological monitoring.
You may need an Electroencephalogram (to check for seizures), Electrocardiogram, echocardiogram and holter monitoring (for heart related problems). Blood work to check for any metabolic and correctible causes.

hope this helps and you feel better soon.
