What Causes A Painful Rash On The Leg After An Insect Bite?
Something bit me on the leg the other day. When it happened it was painful - like a bruise; but also developed a slight rash - like contact dermatitis (which cleared up after about an hr). There was also a slight lump for a few hrs. Now though, I have a bruise. Its about 1 inch in diameter. It does still itch if I touch it; much the way a mosquito bite would. Is this normal? What could possibly have bitten me?

Thanks you for asking this question. I have undergone through your question. I understand your concern. Insect bite causes allergic reaction in local area. You can apply Betnovate-C cream locally thrice daily for few days. It will provided relief. If it is not providing any relief then stop it and visit to any hospital for further treatment.
