Hi, I have been experiencing pain in my right wrist since the past three years. I feel a soft, painful lump being formed at the wrist i.e. the wrist joint below the little finger, the palm side. I have got an X- Ray done, but nothing abnormal was found. Can you help me understand what it could be?
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.
It may be ganglion, which is most common such lesion in area of wrist. This is actually part of capsule which is filed with fluid. It can and should be surgically removed under local anesthesia especially if there are symptoms such as pain and numbness.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
