If there is no history of any trauma, then it had to be an inflammatory/infective swelling like an abscess with surrounding cellulitis giving it a bruise like appearance. If I were your doctor, I would refer you to a general surgeon who might go for a clinical examination the area including that of the breast bilaterally to rule out any infection traveling from there. If the examination of the breast was negative, then he might put you on a broad spectrum antibiotic along with an anti inflammatory drug which might relieve you. Otherwise, he might plan for a FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) of the lump to arrive at a definitive diagnosis for planning an appropriate treatment.
