What Causes A Painful Lump On The Lower Gum With Earache?

Hello.

I am female 21 and currently on holiday. Yesterday morning I starting to feel some pressure on my ear for a few hours which then turned into a sharp pain every minute or so. Then noticed I have some form of white bump on the back of my gum behind my bottom bank tooth the pain is horrible. And I am unsure as how to treat it and what it actually is?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

Aa per your complain and presentation of symptoms a white bump over the gun behind last tooth and pain in ear which is radiating pain from the inflamed gum flap known as PERICORONITIS is due to infection in the gum caused by food lodgment between the tooth and the gum.
The white bump is due to ABSCESS formation ..

Nothing to worry, consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and for Pericoronitis he can advise you to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin and Metronidazole and Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do warm saline gargles.
Take a soft diet..
Do cold compresses over the cheek for reducing Inflammation and pain..

Once the pain and infection gets reduced get an X-ray done to rule out whether tooth is impacted or not..
If tooth is impacted and if you get recurring episodes of pain and swelling get the tooth extracted and if not impacted OPERCULECTOMY that is surgical removal of gum flap has to be done for permanent relief..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
