What Causes A Painful Lump On The Jaw After A Tooth Extraction?

So i am 6 days into recovery of wisdom tooth extraction, and i noticed pain while chewing or moving the gums around the bottom right extraction point and didn t think anything of it until today. So i looked to see what it was and because I knew pain happened when moving my tongue towards my cheek resulting in what felt like the gum moving away from my 2nd molar I put my finger in my mouth to move the gums and inside the wound that opened when I moved the gums and what looked like a little lump? -type thing that was yellow was in the wound, I have taken my antibiotics without fail, and I have rinsed at least 5 times a day with warm salt water every day since removal. Any ideas on what this could be?

tooth extraction heals with a secondary intention...there is formation of tissue mass to seal of that cavity previously occupied by a tooth..this healing tissue is either yellowish or whitish coloured...if you don't have pain after the completion of your drug course....you shouldn't be worried about anything..make sure you keep that area clean and hygienic....the complete healing of the extraction wound takes place at 3 months...
