There is tingling in my fingers, am I okay to wait an call may oncologist in the morning? I have a heating pad on it now which is giving a little relief. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As you are undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, there are different changes you will be observed due to the medicinal effects.

It's good that you are aware of the changes that you are seeing. I would suggest you not to panic for the presence of lump on your forearm, the reason for it can be a lymph node swelling that commonly seen in cancer patients.

And the tingling sensation in fingers might be because of the effects of the strong medicines you have been administered.

So, whenever you have some doubt or you observe something unusual or any kind of pain, do not hesitate to talk to your oncologist about it and get your doubts cleared.

Because he is aware of all your history and the side effects related to the medicines and he can help you effectively in clearing any issues related to all this.

If necessary he will help you with appropriate therapy by treating underlying cause for the issue and suggest you best way to manage it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
