What Causes A Painful Bent Penis?

Hi doctor, I recently started to have a strong bent in my penis towards the left side at the beginning of erection. The bent comes with pain on the left side of the penis. However, as erection progress, the pain weakens and the penis gets straighter until it becomes completely straight. When fully erected, it feels normal with no noticeable pain. I am worried because I haven t experienced that before and I want to treat it as early as possible. Thanks for your help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

The symptoms you are experiencing is likely to be Peyronie's disease. It occurs due to formation of scar tissue/fibrosis of penis
Physical examination and USG evaluation can confirm the diagnosis.
Management is with , clostridium hystolyticum (Xiaflex) injection to dissolve the fibrous tissue.
Sometimes surgery may be warranted.
Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider for further evaluation and management.

Hope this answers your questions
