What Causes A Missed Period While On Birth Control Pills?

So my period is always regular I use birth control pills this last period came a week after the last period and lasted 3 days I should have started my period a week ago but I didn’t get it and I have all symptoms of being pregnant but I got a negative result on a pregnancy test is there a chance I could be pregnant? I have 3 babies already and every symptom I have feels like I am pregnant even my tummy does

Hello,

You are regular with your birth control pills. When a woman is on pills for the long duration the endometrium gets thinned out, and bleeding might be delayed, and the symptoms might be because of the progesterone component of the pill, but with your history of three children, we need to rule out pregnancy. So I would suggest you retake pregnancy test after three days or go for a blood test for beta HCG levels which is more confirmatory
