What Causes A Lump On The Thigh Long After Treating A Melanoma?

Hi, I am 48 years old and went for my annual skin check up (I had a melanoma a few years back) and I pointed out a lump on my thigh a few cm. in size. My dermatologist removed it for biopsy and the pathologist needed to do some extra analysis and it is a Nodular Amyloidosis. My doctor wants to run blood work and urine work. Could this just be isolated trauma induced incident or a more systemic disease?

Consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan. We have to rule out look for possibilities like hematoma.
