What Causes A Lump On The Palm Of Hand?

I had some metal with the palm of my hand and there is a lump that is hard and has a pain when nothing is touching it and then pain more sever with touch it is located from left thum middle i woul say of thumb then the middle finger just off center of middle of palm inch and half from wrist what could it be

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got some metal in the palm of your hand. Some of metal piece or other material may have remained inside of palm forming foreign body granuloma . It is also possible that a pus is formed inside it. You may need to do x-ray to confirm it. It may require antibiotics and analgesic such as ibuprofen as its treatment. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. I have studied your case and i think it is collection of blood in the palm. i would suggest you to show it to a doctor and get it clinically examined. If there is blood collection than you will need to get it aspirated with the help of needle and than applied compression bandage, You will also need to take antibiotics to prevent any infection.
Avoid moisture and dirt. Also do not rub the skin over it as it is acting like biological dressing. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
