General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The lump on the head after an injury is usually due to trauma. I recommend using anti inflammatory medication for the pain such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day. I also recommend using cool compresses to help with the edema. If you have further symptoms such as headache or feeling lightheaded I suggest to do further examinations such as a MRI for further evaluations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
