What Causes A Lump On My Upper Arm?

Hello. I have a lump under my skin on the outside of my upper arm. It has been there a while. At first I thought it was blemish. But I leaned on it earlier this month and it seems to have expanded further into my soft tissue. it is also irritated now and touchy. What could it be and should I have it checked out by my MD?

Hello. This is likely just a benign sebaceous cyst, but if it's now inflamed, it's likely infected, so you need to have a doctor to see if you need a course of antibiotics.
