Hey, so today I was on the toilet and I felt something not normal, so I used my finger to feel what was wrong and in the back wall of my vagina there is a lump, a little bit smaller than a golf ball. And I can t exactly feel it because when I try to touch it it moves up my vagina. Could you please help me understand what this is? Should I see a doctor? Thank you for your time.
I can understand your concern. The painless lump you have found on the vaginal wall can be a cyst. It is vey usual and there is noting to worry about. Sebaceous glands in the groin area can develop a cyst sometimes. Usually it does not require treatment and it may disapper on its own.
However, if you develop itchiness, pain, burning sensation or faul odor from the area or if the cyst increases in size, you should contact a gynecologist for physical examination.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
