What Causes A Lump Beside The Areola Of The Breast?

I have a tiny pebble sized firm lump under skin next to areola in left breast. It is smaller than a pea and oainless. It has been there for over a week and does not seem to be getting bigger. I am 41 and last breast fed 2 years ago. should I be concerned?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here no need for much worry ....

You can have fibroadenoma or fibroma like benign tumour ....

From that lesion FNAC is taken at central patho lab and examine the smear with giemsa stain....
It might show morphology of benign breast tumour ....

Clinical observation done ....
Regular follow up necessary .....

This small benign nodule can be surgically excised and send it for histopathological examination....

Consult general surgeon for its examination ....

Take care ....

Along with FNAC , USG also helpful....
I find this answer helpful
