What Causes A Lump And Mild Pain On The Right Side Of The Buttocks?

Dull ache on my lower right side. Felt mostly when sitting (ache felt all the way to right testicle). Also have hard painless lump around same area (lower right side not testicle) which has been present and hasn t changed in the past 3 years or so. I am a male 53years old.
