Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
This may be an umbilical hernia due to the hard workouts. An umbilical hernia occurs when the intestine or other tissues bulge through this weak spot around the belly button (
umbilicus). An umbilical hernia in adults usually occurs when too much pressure is put on a weak section, such as the navel. At the beginning it can be painful, but after that it remains just a swelling or bulge near the umbilical area which tends to get bigger over time.
You should see a surgeon, who will perform a physical exam to determine if you have or not an umbilical hernia. The doctor will see if the hernia can be pushed back into the abdominal cavity (reducible). Your doctor may take an X-ray or perform an
ultrasound on the stomach area to ensure that there are no complications.
You may need surgery to treat it, especially if it gets bigger or becomes painful.
Meanwhile you should take always a band around your belly to put the knot in, except when you are lied down.
You should limit your workouts.
Hope this is helpful.
