What Causes A High Esr Count?

Hi I am 32 yrs old. I had a blood test day before my last menstruation and the result was normal, except for the ESR level which was 24. I have been having symptons of pain in my knee and more recently back pain. What do you think is the cause of this high ESR? Thanks

Hello
ESR can be raised in infections/inflammation of any body part/arthritis etc..if u r having bone pains u should get a test named RA FACTOR coz u seems to have rheumatoid arthritis
