What Causes A Harp Bruised Bump On Inner Thigh?

My boyfriend has a quarter sized bump half way down his inner thigh. It s hard feel like a nod it s almost has a purple/ dark hint to it. Almost looks like a spider bite nod but no puncture spots. He cut it open a little and squeezed it like a pimp and blood comes out some dark and thick some red and in between it seemed like it went down a little it didn t go away. He did it again a few days later same thing? What could this be? I told him he should go to the doctor.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such swelling need to be kept under observation and it ought not be cut down, if done like that then chances of infection increases, it could be dome nonspecific swelling and such swelling comes around on its own, now it may need some antibiotic and proper wound care, lymph node swelling need to be ruled out, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
