What Causes A Hard Lump And Bruising On The Leg?
Hi my son hit his leg last week. It was really sore and he complained when I would wash his leg but the bruise wasn t even that bad. Now it s a week later and the area is still sensitive and he has developed a hard lump. I am concerned because the lump was not there before. Should I take him to the doctor?

hello sir... i'm dr. charles and i will help you... yes you should take him to the doctor immediately... get a tetanus toxoid injection first abd take an xray of the leg. reasons 1) could have attained a hairline fracture 2) a foreign body like a splinter or dirt could have entered inside and that could have caused an infection orvlead to an abcess formation. so get a doctor to see him first and get it evaluvated immediately. hope this information was helpful.thank you
