What Causes A Feeling Of Something Stuck In Back Of The Throat?

I feel like something is stuck in the back of my throat. Like a pill or a hair. Seems to be worse when I drink water. I do not drink carbonated drinks nor milk products, I am lactose intolerant, haven't used these products for years. what could be wrong?
