Hello, Thanks for writing to us. If you are sexually active, then you should undergo home pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. In medical term, it is called Galactorrhea, where milky nipple discharge is secreted from breast though woman is not pregnant or breastfeeding. Galactorrhea is NOT a disease but has many possible causes. These include: 1) Pituitary gland tumor 2) Certain medications like hormones & psychotropic drugs 3) Hypothyroidism 4) High prolactin level (also cause irregular delayed period) etc. You need to undergo several basic investigations after proper clinical examination. These are serum prolactin level, complete hormone profile, Mammogram or ultrasound of one or both breasts, brain scan (CT/ MRI).
