What Causes A Cyst On The Bridge Of The Nose And Eye Swelling?

My daughter has a cyst forming in the bridge of her nose causing her eye to swell. She was put on Amoxicillin 7 days prior to today for preventative for acne but I am concerned that won t take this new cyst that started forming this morning. Should I take her urgent care? I worry about infection to her brain as I have read that is the danger zone.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cyst on the bridge of the nose and eye swelling. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like keratoacanthoma, basal cell carcinoma & a simple sebaceous cyst , sinusitis or allergic reaction . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may take sample for lab test along with CT scan and physical examination to check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti inflammatory , anti allergic or may recommend surgically removal . For now apply warm compresses , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and do not apply any cosmetic product .
