What Causes A Bump In The Genital Area?

I have a question. While I was shaving last week I noticed a bump. I figured it was an ingrown hair and I left it alone. Soon I developed pain in that area. I decided to go to the GYN today to have a look at it. I also had a Yeast Infection along with it. I usually get them since I am on birth control. She examined me and gave me a yeast infection test as long as a herpes test. She said the bump did appear to be an ingrown hair and the hair came out. Now I am experiencing pain that is sharp and it hurts to move or sit. I have asked my previous sexual partners if they had it and both said no

I think that you may be suffering from abscess in the genital area, so I will suggest you to have a course of antibiotics for 5 days and analgesics for another 5 days.
