What Causes A Boney Swelling On My Collarbone?

A year a ago a scan showed several nodules on my thyroid. A fine needle biopsy was suggested, but I didn't follow through. I recently noticed a boney swelling on my collarbone that is somewhat tender to the touch. Are these events likely related and should I be concerned?

Hello,

I would try my best to answer your queries. Further, I myself have several questions to ask you. It will help me to advise you further.

1) Why did you get the thyroid scan done last year? Were you having any symptoms? Were you unwell in any way?
2) Did you have your TSH, T4 and T3 levels done last year?
3) Did you get any other blood tests or any other investigations done last year?
4) What sort of a scan you had got done last year - was it an Ultrasound scan or a nuclear scan?
5) What was the exact report of the scan?
6) Since how long you are having this collar bone swelling? Is it soft or hard? How big is it? Is it growing or maintaining the same size?
7) What is your age and are you a male or female?

This collar bone lump and your thyroid nodules may or may not be related, but I can only advise you after you answer my questions.

Thank you
