What Causes A Blind Spot In The Field Of The Vision?

Hi. I have a blind spot in my right eye that started small in the right peripheral and has been growing. It started suddenly, on the 8th of this month. So suddenly, that I thought I was going to get a migraine, as the type I ve gotten started that way. But, the headache never came and the blind spot has been gradually getting bigger and now covers about half of my right eye. Today, the part of my right eye that I can see out of, started getting a little cloudy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear
Blind spots in the eyes may be due to retinal damage. A small blind spot is normally present in everyone which is evident when closing one eyes and fixing vision on an object. But if it is growing problems like retinal demyelination or any other systemic problems like multiple sclerosis (which is unlikely as per your history) can be the cause. In any case please consult opthalmologist
Hope I have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
