What Causes A Big Bruise At Gall Bladder Removal Site?

Last Tuesday I had my gall bladder removed day surgury . On Friday I awoke with a hugh black and blue 8 inchest by 8 inches on the rifgt side of my stomach. Today, Saturday this black and blue has gotten larger to include my groin area. Is this alright ? The reason I am asking you is because my surgeon is away on vacation.

This is not concerning. This happens due to subcutaneous hematom in abdominall wall due to laparoscopic intrisment palcement of small vessel injury. YOu need to apply cold compresses, heparine gel and rest. Take nosnetroid painkillers. There is no danger of such hematomas. This will oull back in 2 weeks.
