What Causes UTI Not Responding To Medication During Pregnancy?

Am 9 weeks pregnant. I travelled in April and contracted malaria and was treated for the same using Coartem. Since then I have not felt any better. Apart from the normal pregnancy blues like nausea and vomiting, I feel tired, feverish and do not seem to have an appetite. I went back to the doctor a 2nd time and the malaria had not gone and I was put on injections. Again this did not help. When I went back for the 3rd time It had cleared but this time I had contracted a UTI and have been put on Orelox antibiotics and given paracetamol. Its 4 days since I started taking this but am not seeing any change. What could the problem?

you should get your urine culture test done to see to which antiobiotic is the bacteria most sensitive. you should drink good amount of oral fluids. cranberry juice is also good in cases of urinary infection.
