Hi! I can understand your frustration with this disorder. In PCOS the primary
abnormality lies with ovaries secreting too much TESTOSTERONE (the male hormone). Why do they do this? There are two hormones EITHER of which may stimulate the ovaries for this testosterone hypersecretion. These 2 hormones are LH & Insulin.
So your insulin may be normal but if you have high levels of LH you'll still be having the symptoms.Thyroid is not directly involved with PCOS - it is more oftenan associated illness like autoimmune thyroiditis. So now you know why your insulin & thyroid levels are fine and you're still having the symptoms.Your symptoms - increasing acne, facial hair, hair loss are all due to TESTOSTERONE
which is being produced by your ovaries. You might have noticed an improvement in these symptoms when you were on Krimson 35 - that's because it contains a chemical to block the actions of testosterone.
I hope you've understood to some extent the real cause of your problem. Do meet up with your gynecologist - I'm sure things will be sorted out. All the best!
