Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Was diagnosed with crohns in 2004, always have had stomach issues. Was just told I am in the fourth stage of my crohns. Was wondering what this means? I just had an ACDF C3-4, have degenerative disease, osteoarthritis, and RA...I am 48 years old now have had stomach problems since a child. Cannot take pain meds so they are talking spinal stimulator.....
Crown's disease is an Inflammatory bowel disease where multiple ulcerations and inflammation is seen in the intestine which results in frequent loose motions, blood and mucus in stools, general debility. 4th stage Crohn's disease is where the symptoms may not respond to treatment. Crohn's disease is an auto immune disease just like the other auto immune diseases you have like Osteoarthritis, RA where anti bodies are formed against your own tissue. I suggest you consult your doctor for treatment as treatment is generally symptom oriented and given on individual basis. hope this helps. thank you.
