What Caused Confusion And Dizziness After A Cataract Surgery?

My 81 year old mother had cataract surgery last week. She has done well until last night she woke up around 3:00 am to go to the bathroom. She got confused and disoriented, fell in the floor after getting real dizzy. She has complained of her firearms and hand hurting and burning. Could this be a complication from surgery?
