Hello there. 14 week old has just switched to powdered formula from concentrait ( breast fed for the first two and a half months) -today he had a thick greyish bowl movement for the first time, and I think it hurt him he cried. This was in the morning and it has just happened again to a lesser degree.

Hello,

If the child is giving top feeding then you find some change in bowel habit and most of the time it may cause abdominal pain to the child so that could be the cause and it is not that you hurt him, I advise you to insist for breastfeeding only and it is the only healthy diet for the baby.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
